Heidi Health is recruiting a Finance Manager, North America to join the team in New York. The job is full-time and office based. Pay for this role is set at $150,000 to $180,000 a year, according to the posting.
Heidi Health describes the job as follows.
Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.
We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.
In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals - supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.
Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
We’re hiring a Finance Manager to lead the finance function for North America. Supported by Heidi’s central finance team, you’ll work closely with regional leadership to bring financial rigor to the region and giving NA leadership a finance partner they can trust for forecast accuracy and clear answers, in their own timezone.
The role has two equally important parts. First, you’ll own the region’s financial control and compliance environment. While the central finance team manages the month-end close, core accounting and day-to-day finance operations, you’ll oversee the accuracy of regional results, reporting and forecasts; manage cash; maintain strong local controls; and take responsibility for statutory and compliance requirements.
Second, you’ll be a hands-on business partner: helping leaders understand the story behind the regional P&L, translating performance into clear insights and actions, challenging assumptions and shaping decisions across revenue, investment, profitability and cash. You’ll bring a commercial point of view-not simply report the numbers-and ensure teams understand the financial impact of the choices they make.
This role is for someone who is confident with business partnering: comfortable sitting with Sales and GTM leadership on commissions design, pipeline and forecast conversations, and also able to run point on the controls and compliance backbone that keeps those conversations trustworthy.
You’ll report to the Group Financial Controller, with a dotted line to FP&A, and work closely with North America’s commercial leadership, Sales, Customer Success, outsourced advisors and audit partners, and the wider global Finance team across Sydney, Melbourne and Manila - with NA-hours coverage closing the timezone gap that currently slows decisions down.
Own the integrity of the NA balance sheet, with reconciliations that stay current, reviewed and explainable
Own the accuracy of the NA monthly group reporting and management accounts with variance commentary that explains movements
Be the single point of contact for group finance on anything NA: queries, adjustments, restatements, consolidation-level questions
Own the NA compliance calendar (state registrations, sales tax nexus, annual filings) by directing external advisers and tax specialists, not by doing the work yourself
Build an early-warning process so compliance risk is caught and escalated well before it threatens trading status
Be the accountable owner if something in the compliance chain breaks down
Be the trusted finance partner in the room for NA Sales and GTM leadership - forecast accuracy, pipeline-to-revenue linkage, sales efficiency and commissions economics
Own the NA regional P&L narrative: budget vs actual, variance analysis and a clear view of what is driving performance
Bring a commercial lens to pricing, deal terms and customer economics, flagging risk and opportunity early
Translate regional performance into clear, decision-ready input for FP&A and company leadership
Give NA business leaders a reliable, self-serve view of their numbers, so decisions stop waiting on Australian hours
Feed central finance the regional inputs it needs at close: accrual and commissions estimates, revenue and spend context, then review and sign off on the NA result
Partner with Sales and RevOps on commissions design so plans are reflected accurately in forecast and accruals
Partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve aged and disputed balances and unblock stuck revenue
Own the commercial view of collection risk: which accounts, why, and what it means for cash, and feed it into forecasting
Drive down NA DSO by fixing the upstream causes (contracting, disputes, process), not by chasing invoices
Build the operating rhythm that turns NA finance from reactive support into a reliable performance framework: clear KPIs, owners, review cadences and escalation paths
Strengthen financial controls across spend, approvals, vendor onboarding, card usage, subscriptions and commercial commitments, while keeping the process pragmatic for a fast-moving region
Review regional AP and card activity, including prompt removal of leaver access and cards, and escalate anomalies to central finance operations
Partner with external advisers, vendors and finance operations support where needed, making sure work is well-scoped, reviewed and connected back to Heidi’s internal finance standards
Create simple documentation and control checks so the region can scale without relying on informal knowledge or one-off fixes
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in strong commercial finance and/or FP&A business partnering experience, ideally supporting a Sales or GTM organization
Comfortable partnering with Sales/RevOps leadership on commissions, forecasting and pipeline-linked economics
Experience owning spend or expense controls in a way that supports the business rather than only governing it
Comfortable directing (not necessarily performing) US and Canadian statutory and sales tax compliance through external advisers
Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency business
Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy, NA-hours, in a small global finance team
Strong commercial judgement - able to spot when a number doesn't match the story behind it
Clear, confident communicator across finance and non-finance audiences
Attitude is more important than ticking every box. If you are a hungry, highly motivated operator who has a knack for problem solving, building relationships and learning quickly, we want to hear from you.
Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
CPA or equivalent qualification
GAAP experience
Experience standing up or improving collections processes in the US market
Exposure to Campfire, Airwallex, Rippling or similar modern finance tooling
Experience working across timezones with a remote/global finance team
We design for safety and reliability so clinicians, patients, and our teams can trust what we build every day.
Ideas rise on merit, not title, and everyone shares responsibility for the standards we set together.
We move quickly but never at the cost of trust. Progress only matters if people can depend on what we make.

Flexible remote-first working
Monthly wellbeing benefit to invest in your physical and mental wellbeing

A one-time home office setup contribution
