Slip Robotics is a B2B Robotics-as-a-Service company deploying autonomous loading and unloading robots - SlipBots and SlipLifts - at warehouse and fulfillment sites across North America. Our customers are some of the largest shippers and 3PLs in the industry, and we're scaling fast. We build the robots, we deploy them, and we keep them running.

We are seeking a Machinist - Laser Operator to staff our newly created machine shop with a primary focus on rapid prototyping, R&D support, and engineering iteration. This role will primarily be responsible for operating and maintaining a fiber laser cutter. Additionally, the role includes operating and maintaining a press brake, deburrer, and MIG, TIG, and laser welders. This role is central to accelerating product development-partnering closely with Engineering to quickly fabricate, test, modify, and refine components as designs evolve.

While the shop will support limited production needs, the core mandate is speed, flexibility, and technical collaboration-not high-volume machining. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced development environments, can translate rough concepts into physical parts quickly, and understands how to balance precision with iteration velocity.
